Stretch Mark Cure - 3 Sure-Fire Solutions
60Is there really a stretch mark cure? That’s the question on many people’s minds who have to deal with this annoying condition. Stretch marks leave the most unsightly mess in their wake, red and purple squiggly lines that run across your belly, thighs, butt, arms back and various other nooks and crannies. They are not pleasant to look at and they are downright embarrassing.
Now while the marks will fade and turn to more of a whitish hue, the question is “is there really a stretch mark cure? Can you really get rid of stretch marks completely?”. The answer to this question may not be what you want to hear, you see, while you will never completely get rid of the stretch mark scars, you can reduce their appearance so that they are not as noticeable. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but despite what you may have heard from commercials and the like, this is the unfortunate reality.
Once there is a gap in your skin tissue and an absence of collagen, you essentially have a scar. Now there are treatments that will work to rebuild some of the collagen that is missing in the gaps, however it will not be enough to be considered a stretch mark cure.
But enough doom and gloom, let’s look at what your best options are for reducing their appearance:
1. Makeup
Guys, I know this will not exactly be an option for you, or who knows, maybe it is…but makeup is something you can use to help conceal the appearance of unsightly stretch marks.
What you can do is use some foundation or powder the stretch marked area such that it is evenly matched with the surrounding skin color. This is something you may want to try if you have stretch marks on your upper legs , stomach or arms.
2. Use Herbs
There are also various herbs you can use and while they are not going to be a stretch mark cure for you, they will still be able to work wonders for your complexion. Herbs like basil leaves and sandalwood can really be of help. Then there is cocoa butter which many people say has helped them considerably.
All of the above will work to dull your stretch marks and help them fade into your surrounding skin. They are also very cheap treatments which are not going to cost you an arm and a leg.
3. Exfoliate + Vitamin E
Another way to reduce your stretch mark scar or scars is to exfoliate the general area. By exfoliating you are removing the top layer of skin and allowing your skin to then heal over replenishing the area with new skin, this is of course if you exfoliate enough .
What you can do following the exfoliation while your skin is susceptible, try applying some vitamin E to the area. Vitamin E is well known for it’s healing capabilities when it comes to scars and such. It has regenerative properties and will work to heal the scarred tissue that much faster.
Now while none of the above is a stretch mark cure per say, they will all help you to deal with the condition and either reduce it’s appearance or make it more manageable. Now if you’re looking for additional solutions, you can always check the Internet, there are usually plenty of stretch mark solutions to be found there.
