Stretch Mark Repair - 3 Powerful Solutions
62Looking into stretch mark repair? Wondering if there is a way to fix up that squiggly line mess? Stretch marks really are a nasty bunch aren’t they? They appear when you least expect them and leave you looking like the survivor of a puma attack! Some people like to wear these marks as badges of honor, be it from child birth or weightlifting, but many people just want to get rid of them altogether.
Seeing as how you are here searching for stretch mark repair solutions, I’ll guess you’re in the latter category. The good news is there are plenty of treatments out there which will result in a drastically improved appearance, you’ve just got to be committed enough to stick through the treatment.
I should also note that you will see the best results in your treatment if you’re able to catch the problem early on while the marks are still fresh, this is when you can most take advantage of your skin’s ability to repair itself and reduce the appearance of the scar substantially.
Now regardless of whether you have that luxury or not, we’re going to go into various methods of stretch mark repair that will work on both old and new stretch marks:
1. Exfoliation + Vitamin E
One method of stretch mark repair will have you exfoliating your skin in the shower and eliminating the top dead layer and even slightly damaging the layer beneath that.
This rough exfoliation will do several things, it will increase blood flow to the area and it will allow for the scarred area to heal a little bit again and hopefully fill in a bit more of the gap with some collagen.
To improve how effective this is, try applying some vitamin E oil to the area directly after the vigorous rub down. The vitamin E oil will work to renew and regenerate the skin tissue that much faster as it is known for healing scars particularly well post surgery. It may be sticky leaving it on, so do it at night where it won’t matter much.
2. Emu Oil, Aloe Vera + Olive Oil
In much the same way that Vitamin E worked to rejuvenate your skin, emu oil, aloe vera and olive oil can do the same thing. All of these treatments have regenerative effects when used on damaged skin and in the case of aloe vera, even a soothing effect. You may try applying these in addition to the Vitamin E to form a nice healing cocktail if you will.
3. Drink Tons of Water
Now this may not help with stretch mark repair, but I feel it’s important to mention anyways as it may prevent further scarring in the future. Try drinking upwards of 3 liters of water each day in order to ensure that you stay well hydrated and your skin stays nice, healthy and elastic. The more water it gets, the less likely it is to tear due to stretching.
If none of these solutions worked, don’t give up though, keep searching!
